On national coverage of young Native American voices raised in poetry

What words are these that you bring to fire eaters?
Script has naught to do with Word
nor soul with coat.
Sing my firebirds
cast your breaths over the logs of creation
let the winds and clouds carry your spirits
and spread them at Her feet, where She rests on the other side of vision
waiting to spin the world a tale again.

Untitled III

Indian summer

Krishnachura radhachura
poetry comes of the unconsoled
measuring that which spills over from the other world.
